Note the main service letter and any numbered subitems before arranging work. The Maintenance Minder can call for more than an oil change. Use the US code table for a US car; the Canadian table in the same document uses a different arrangement.

Some work is time-based
Honda specifies brake-fluid replacement every three years independently of the Minder. The linked guide also explains conditions requiring attention outside the displayed countdown. Do not treat an absence of a dashboard reminder as proof that every fluid or inspection is current.

Reset the work actually done
Keep an invoice or log of completed tasks before resetting the relevant maintenance items. If buying a used Civic, compare the display with service records: a reset records a command, not proof of replacement parts. This guide covers the 2020 non-Type-R hatchback discovery configuration.
