Remove original components
Unplug MAF; remove upper airbox/tube. Remove two plenum bolts, disconnect crankcase/EVAP lines, loosen the throttle clamp and remove the plenum.

Build the intake
Fit 08698 at throttle body. Assemble shield, adapter, two 9-inch bottom trims, top trim and filter. Remove the middle airbox clip; use the other two. Fit 08699, transfer MAF and install tube fittings hand-tight, then at most one turn or until difficult to turn.

Reconnect
Align and clamp the tube. Join the supplied EVAP hose/mender to the factory line and tube. Fit crankcase hose between valve cover and tube. Connect MAF with the extension harness and display the emissions label.

Final check
Check alignment, clamps and connectors; reconnect the battery. Idle in Park/Neutral with the parking brake set. Resolve leaks/noises before road-testing; recheck connections periodically.
