Remove factory hardware
Unplug MAF. Remove the oil cap and cover, then replace the cap. Disconnect ventilation, remove the tube and ventilation line, then both airbox nuts and airbox. Remove the illustrated frame-rail grommet.

Fit the shield and tube
Assemble bracket, adapter, trim and loose insert nut. Seat the insert in the grommet hole and tab on the mounting stud; secure. Fit 08761 at the throttle and 08418 at the adapter. Transfer MAF; install the vent fitting hand-tight plus two turns. Clamp the new tube.

Reconnect
Fit the supplied ventilation hose between tube and valve-cover port. Secure the filter, reconnect MAF and refit the cover.

Final check
Check alignment, clamps and connectors; reconnect the battery. Idle in Park/Neutral with the parking brake set. Resolve leaks/noises before road-testing; recheck connections periodically.
